DETROIT, July 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marygrove College announced today it has become the 84th Catholic college member of the SAGE Scholars Private College & University Enrollment Marketing Consortium. SAGE is the nation’s largest private college enrollment consortium with 357 colleges.
SAGE students have indicated interest in attending a private college such as Marygrove. Families can participate in SAGE through a 529 plan, bank, credit union, mutual fund or investment advisor or through a parent’s employee benefit program. The SAGE Tuition Rewards® program is similar to a “frequent flyer” program because financial institutions and employers provide Tuition Rewards Points either as a thank-you for being a loyal customer or as an employee benefit. The end result is that attending a private college is more affordable.
Founded by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) in 1905, Marygrove College is an independent liberal arts college and a Catholic institution of higher learning. The College’s commitment to the city of Detroit comprises an institutional mission and vision for developing urban leaders. The main campus is situated on 53 wooded acres in northwest Detroit.
Students at Marygrove College are equipped with the tools and the critical-thinking skills that allow them to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Because of this, they continue to be recruited by some of the nation’s top 10 neuroscience and neurosurgery facilities; they sign on with critically acclaimed dance companies in New York; they earn grants and graduate assistantships at leading research institutions; and they continue to develop major revitalization efforts right here in the city of Detroit.
