CB Old Country Store hosted a special presentation at a Marc’s store in Chardon, Ohio to support the USO and the local military families the organization serves. Representatives from the USO of Northern Ohio received $5,000 in groceries at Marc’s, courtesy of CB Old Country Store, to benefit the “No Dough Dinners” program and other initiatives.
“We are very excited that CB Old Country is supporting the USO and the local military families the organization serves,” said Paula Cope, Chief Administrative Officer, USO of Northern Ohio. “This support will enhance the ‘No Dough Dinners’ provided to service members and their families and enable the USO of Northern Ohio to expand their outreach to the many units that encompass our service area.”
The USO is a non-profit organization that strengthens America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to the nation. Through locations around the world, the USO offers programs such as “No Dough Dinners,” which provide service members and their families with free, healthy meals.
As part of the event, Marc’s customers were treated to samples of CB Old Country Store’s iconic country-style products, including savory deli meats like Sweet Smoked Ham, Pan Roasted Turkey Breast and Oven Roasted Turkey Breast.
“Supporting and honoring America’s military families is something we care deeply about at CB Old Country Store,” said Julie Whitnel, CB Old Country Store Licensing Manager. “We are thankful to have an opportunity to support military families in Ohio and grateful to Marc’s for their partnership as we present the USO with $5,000 in groceries.”
The USO of Northern Ohio covers the 31 counties in Northern Ohio. With offices in Cleveland, Perrysburg and Youngstown, Ohio, and facilities at Cleveland Hopkins Airport and the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, the USO of Northern Ohio provides much needed support to service members and military families throughout the local area.
“Marc’s is proud to partner with CB Old Country Store to support America’s service members and their families,” said Tim Reese, Regional Manager, Marc’s. “We know this donation will go a long way in providing healthy meals to military families when they’re needed most.”
