NEW YORK, July 27, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum continues to expand its Multi-Media and Education Programming by heading back to its music roots. The HHHOF Music Division will kick-off its fall fundraising campaign by releasing a Hip Hop Music Compilation Album entitled 'Peace, Love, Unity & Hip Hop!' This is the fourth music project for the HHHOF dating back to the 1990s, and most recently with Mixtape music mixes by well-known radio Deejays. The first single entitled ‘Hip Hop Hall of Fame’ is a ‘Theme Song & Anthem’ that will be released in mid September to national radio stations, and deejays. This will coincide with the Hip Hop Hall of Fame’s ‘Let’s Build #OurHouse’ and ‘The Home of Hip Hop Music & Culture’ Campaign this fall-winter.
The HHHOF Museum is a Chartered non-profit 501 (c)3 Museum and Educational Institution whose mission is to Preserve, Archive, Exhibit, Educate, and Showcase Hip Hop Music & Culture from around the world. "In keeping with our global mission the HHHOF Music Division will continue that commitment to artists, producers, and fans with this Museum Benefit Album which is a tribute to hip hop music & culture’s artistic freedom, expression, and philanthropy," stated HHHOF Museum Founder and Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Creator, Chairman JT Thompson.
The Benefit Music Album Project has been in the works for months and has enlisted Hip Hop Legends & Icons, Independent and Underground Artists on The Rise from around the World, The Freshman Class, Hip Hop Golden Age, and DJ’s including HHHOF’s DJ Mell Starr 'No Headphones!' Other Artists being featured on the Album will include the top 20 finalists from TeamBackPack’s recent #MissionUnderground events. The unique part about the project is that fans and lovers of hip hop music & culture will get to see these artists perform at the upcoming Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show Week of Events this November 11-18th, 2016 in NYC. The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show is set for Friday November 18, 2016 in New York City at The Palace Theater.
The Album is being Executive Produced by The HHHOF, TeamBackPack, and Hip Hop Global Media & Entertainment. Proceeds from the album will benefit three initiatives including the building & operation of The Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum Coming to NYC, The Hip Hop Arts Academy, a youth education program partner of the HHHOF, and The TeamBackPack Water Development Program, assisting India, Africa, and Developing countries, with our global partners Generosity.org and The Rockwell Foundation, in an effort to raise at least $21K to build 3 water wells all around the world. Every single one of these wells will be dedicated on behalf of hip-hop culture, showing that collectively hip-hop can make a difference in the world. TBP is a hip hop music & culture movement, and entertainment hub for the global underground and independent hip-hop music artists founded by Dev Tejwani and Armani Cooper. TBP, like the HHHOF, believes hip-hop is the most important idea for this generation in influencing positivity, self-awareness, and change throughout the world.
