WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Two upcoming job fairs will offer military veterans and transitioning service members an opportunity to find employment in Delaware. Navient will be among the dozens of employers that will participate in the events on Aug. 22 in Dover and Sept. 1 in Middletown.
Navient, the nation’s leading loan management, servicing and asset recovery company, is hiring to fill positions in customer service, collections, and reporting and analytics. The jobs are located in Newark and the city of Wilmington.
“Veterans have a unique set of skills, including discipline and leadership, that make them desirable employees that can be counted on to always get the job done,” said David Anderson, talent acquisition consultant, Navient. “The upcoming job fairs are great opportunities for veterans to share their skillsets and to learn more about Navient.”
Sponsored by U.S. Sen. Tom Carper, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons and U.S. Rep. John Carney, both job fairs are free and no registration is required for attendees. Both events will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held at Wilmington University, Dover Campus on Aug. 22 and Middletown Memorial Fire Hall on Sept. 1.
Navient is committed to increasing opportunities for veterans. Navient is a member of the Veteran Jobs Mission, a coalition of companies that have pledged to hire more veterans. In addition, Navient hosts a Veterans Resource Group, an employee-led talent development program to support military veterans and their careers.
