NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inc. Magazine has named MASS Communications for the fourth consecutive year to its annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The Inc. 500 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs.
MASS Communications is a telecommunications service provider, known for its award-winning culture, innovative service model and the technology breadth of its engineering staff.
The New York-based telecom leader has grown by 122 percent in the last three years, and by 93,100 percent since its founding nine years ago. MASS Communications takes a holistic approach, based on inspired engineering and dedicated service, to offer reliable voice, data, risk management, and security solutions to optimize their client’s networks. The company consistently is recognized for providing the most robust, redundant networking solutions in the industry, in partnership with some of the world’s top carriers.
“Only a tiny fraction of the nation's companies have demonstrated such remarkably consistent high growth. This achievement truly puts MASS Communications in rarefied company,” says Inc. Magazine President and Editor-in-Chief Eric Schurenberg.
Darren Mass, CEO, MASS Communications, credited his firm’s strong growth to the hard work and focus of its employees. “I couldn’t be more proud of our team for all they do every day to give our customers peace-of-mind that their networks are performing at peak levels and are secure. Providing innovative solutions and a superior customer experience are why we continue to enjoy dramatic growth and attract value-added partners.”
The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period.
The 2016 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2015. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million.
