Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is getting some campaign help from the younger generation, much younger. Twelve-year-old Weston Imer runs the Trump campaign operations in Jefferson County, Colorado, KMOV reported.
Imer spends his time coordinating volunteers in the swing state. Weston's mother, Laurel Imer, is the official coordinator on paper, the news station reported. Colorado is widely seen as a swing state in this election, whose voters could go either way in voting for Trump or Hillary Clinton. Jefferson County, whose seat is Golden, is the fourth most populous county in the state.
"Watch for me — 2040," Weston Imer said to KMOV about his own campaign aspirations.
