Valeant CEO on Ackman, asset sales

Valeant's chief executive officer, Joseph Papa, spoke exclusively with CNBC about the state of drug pricing, a possible sale of the company's assets in an effort to reduce debt, having hedge fund manager Bill Ackman on the board of directors and legal investigations.

Year to date, shares of the pharmaceutical company have plunged 70 percent compared with a gain of 7 percent for the S&P 500 index.
