Melania Trump, will speak at a rally in suburban Philadelphia Thursday, the Trump campaign confirmed through Twitter.
Donald Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, tweeted Sunday that the presidential candidate's wife will address voters.
The news comes after Trump seemed to surprise his wife during an interview with ABC last week by announcing that she would be giving "two or three speeches" before the end of the campaign.
It would be Melania Trump's first major public speech since coming under fire for her remarks at the Republican National Convention this summer, where many accused her of plagiarizing passages of Michelle Obama's 2008 address to the Democratic National Convention.
Trump campaign speechwriter Meredith McIver later took responsibility for the similarities, calling it "a mistake."
