COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Berk Eye Care Center has partnered with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank to give back to families in need this Thanksgiving season. With their special promotion, any individual who brings in canned or boxed goods to donate in the month of November will receive a discount on a complete pair of glasses. Individuals who bring in two items will get 10% off, three items will get 15% off, four items will get 20% off, and five items will get 25% off (the maximum discount).
This promotion is aimed at helping collect more donations for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, which gives back to families in the Ohio community. Founded in 1980, the Mid-Ohio Food Bank is a non-governmental, domestic hunger relief organization created to help ensure that hungry families and individuals in the area have access to food during times of need.
“We are excited for this opportunity to give back to families in the Ohio area,” says Dr. Michael Berk, optometrist and founder of Berk Eye Care Center. “The Mid-Ohio Food Bank is a wonderful organization that works to make sure that families and children in the area don’t go hungry. We hope that the donations from this promotion will help families in the community have a brighter holiday.”
Berk Eye Care Center is hoping that this special promotion will not only help give back to Ohio families in need but also encourage those in the community to get an eye exam and make sure that their glasses are updated. An annual eye exam is an important part of maintaining ocular health and detecting diseases or issues that may impact an individual’s vision. Most of the designer frames and lenses are eligible for the promotional discount, however some brands are excluded. Insurance may not be applied to the purchase.
“It is important for individuals and families in the community to get annual eye exams to ensure their prescription is up-to-date,” says Dr. Berk. “Not only does an eye exam help you keep your eyes healthy and your vision is clear, but it can also allow for early detection of ocular diseases, which is vital for proper treatment and management.”
Berk Eye Care Center has experienced eye doctors at two convenient locations. For more information about the promotion or to make an appointment, call the Columbus office at (614) 886-9002, the Gahanna office at (614) 476-2015, or visit their website at http://berkeyecarecenter.com/.
