Blackstone's Jon Gray on Wednesday said he is no longer in the running for Treasury secretary in President-elect Donald Trump's administration.

"I had a terrific meeting and robust policy discussion with the president-elect," the global head of Blackstone's real estate business told CNBC. "It was an honor to be considered for Treasury secretary but I still have much work to do at Blackstone."
