A day after a tweet caused Boeing stock to drop, President-elect Donald Trump defended his use of the social media platform.
"I think I am very restrained on Twitter, and I talk about important things," Trump said in an interview on NBC's "TODAY."
On Tuesday, Trump threatened to cancel an order for a new Air Force One from Boeing due to high costs. Premarket, the tweet pointed to a $1.48 billion impact on Boeing shares before the stock rebounded and closed slightly higher.
"Frankly it's a modern day form of communication," Trump said about Twitter.
