GULFPORT, Miss., Dec. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hancock Holding Company (“Hancock”) (Nasdaq:HBHC) today announced it has commenced an underwritten registered public offering of 5 million shares of its common stock. The Company intends to use the proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including potential strategic acquisitions and to support organic growth. Morgan Stanley is acting as sole book-running manager. The sale of the shares is expected to close December 16, 2016, subject to customary closing conditions. Hancock intends to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares of its common stock.
