NEW YORK, April 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ohr Pharmaceutical, Inc. (Nasdaq:OHRP), an ophthalmology research and development company, today announced that it has closed its previously announced public offering of common stock and warrants. The Company sold an aggregate 20,250,032 shares of common stock at a price to the public of $0.70 per share. Investors also received warrants to purchase up to an aggregate of 14,175,059 shares of common stock with an exercise price of $1.00. The warrants are immediately exercisable and have a term of five years. Gross proceeds to the Company from the sale of the shares were approximately $14,175,000, excluding any proceeds from the exercise of warrants. The transaction was led by existing investors and included the participation of management and the board of directors.
