Sam began his career in hospitality during college, where he obtained an internship with the Walt Disney World College Program. During his internship, Sam studied Disney’s culture and worked full time at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Resort, where he learned the importance of going above and beyond for every guest. After completing his internship, Sam earned a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Chippewa Valley Technical College.
Following graduation, Sam worked at a select service hotel near the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as General Manager for over 10 years, where he learned about the area and continued focusing on delivering five-star service to every guest.
Sam then moved on to work at the Holiday Inn Charlotte Center City, where he was tasked with raising the bar for guest services. He proved extremely successful in this as it was reflected in the hotel’s guest satisfaction scores. Shortly thereafter Sam transitioned over to Holiday Inn Charlotte University Place, where he flourished in his position of Director of Rooms, which led to his promotion to General Manager of the property.
