China April ODI plummets 70.8 pct y/y to $5.83 bln - commerce ministry

BEIJING, May 27 (Reuters) - China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) in April plummeted 70.8 percent from a year earlier to $5.83 billion, the commerce ministry said in a statement on its website on Saturday.

Outbound investment totalled $26.37 billion in the first four months of this year, down 56.1 percent from a year earlier, the ministry added. (Reporting by Sue-Lin Wong; Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)
