Robin Diamonte joined United Technologies as chief investment officer in December 2004. She is responsible for overseeing UTC's $52B in global retirement assets. This includes $24B in domestic pension plans, $7B in foreign pension plans and $21B in the defined contribution plan. Diamonte serves on UTC's Finance Council and is a trustee on pension committees in the United States and the UK.
Prior to joining UTC, she spent 13 years with Verizon Investment Management. She served as managing director of global investments, responsible for asset allocation and management for their $40B pension plan.
In 2013, Diamonte was appointed by President Barack Obama and currently serves as chair of the advisory committee for Pension Benefit Guaranty. Diamonte serves on the board for the Committee on Investment of Employee Benefit Assets, representing more than 100 of the country's largest private-sector retirement funds on fiduciary and investment issues in Washington.
Diamonte was recently appointed as a corporate board member for Morningstar. She is a trustee of the Independent Day School in Middlefield, Connecticut, where her two daughters attend elementary school. Diamonte earned a BS degree in electrical engineering and her MBA in finance from the University of New Haven.
