China's May ODI investment down 38.8 pct y/y

BEIJING, June 16 (Reuters) - China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) in May fell 38.8 percent from a year earlier to $8.22 billion, easing from a 70.8 percent plummet in April, the commerce ministry said in a statement on its website on Friday.

Outbound investment totalled $34.59 billion in the first five months of this year, down 53 percent from a year earlier, the ministry added. (Reporting by Beijing Monitoring Desk)
