Senior US, China officials to meet in Washington on July 19 for economic talks

WASHINGTON, July 6 (Reuters) - Senior U.S. and Chinese officials will meet on July 19 to discuss bilateral economic issues, which will follow threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to use trade to pressure Beijing to do more to rein in North Korea's weapons programs, a U.S. official with knowledge of the decision said.

It will be the first meeting of the U.S.-China Comprehensive Economic Dialogue under the Trump administration. (Reporting by Lesley Wroughton; Editing by Chris Reese)
