China's Xi calls for strengthened macroeconomic coordination

BEIJING, July 7 (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday called on members of the Group of 20 (G20) nations to strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination and forestall risks in financial markets, state news agency Xinhua reported.

"Xi also urged G20 members to develop financial inclusion and green finance to make the financial sector truly drive the development of the real economy," Xinhua said, citing comments made at the G20 summit in the German city of Hamburg. (Reporting by Ben Blanchard Editing by Jeremy Gaunt)
