China says puts strong emphasis on IPR protection

BEIJING, Aug 3 (Reuters) - China's Commerce Ministry said on Thursday that China puts strong emphasis on the protection of intellectual property rights, as U.S. President Donald Trump prepares to launch an inquiry into Beijing's intellectual property and trade practices.

Ministry spokesman Gao Feng said China-U.S. trade is mutually beneficial and China hopes the two countries can continue on a path of cooperation. (Reporting by Elias Glenn; Writing by Ben Blanchard; Editing by Michael Perry)
