China Q2 prelim current account surplus $52.9 bln - FX regulator

BEIJING, Aug 7 (Reuters) - China posted a preliminary current account surplus of $52.9 billion in the second quarter of this year and a deficit of $52.9 billion in its capital and financial account, the foreign exchange regulator said on Monday.

China's preliminary current account surplus in the first half of this year was $71.2 billion and its capital and financial account deficit was $13.6 billion, according to data published on the website of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).
