CANADA STOCKS-TSX hits 1-month low on risk aversion, lower oil prices

TORONTO, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell to its lowest close in a month on Thursday as oil prices fell and investors sought refuge in safe-haven assets amid rising tensions between the United States and North Korea.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed down 143.08 points, or 0.94 percent, at 15,074.25. Nine of the index's 10 main groups ended lower. (Reporting by Fergal Smith; Editing by Dan Grebler)
