TREASURIES-U.S. yields extend fall as Trump says ending business panels

NEW YORK, Aug 16 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury yields fell to session lows mid-afternoon on Wednesday as U.S. President Donald Trump's disbanding of two CEO advisory panels led Wall Street stocks to pare their earlier gains and increased bids for government debt.

At 1:55 p.m. EDT (1755 GMT), benchmark 10-year Treasury yields were 2.2395 percent, down more than 2 basis points from late Tuesday. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Chris Reese)
