South Korea lifts ban on U.S. poultry, egg imports -USDA

CHICAGO, Aug 17 (Reuters) - South Korea has lifted a ban on imports of U.S. poultry and eggs, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Thursday, removing an obstacle to trade that stemmed from worries about avian flu.

In March, South Korea limited U.S. poultry imports after the United States detected the year's first case of avian flu on a commercial chicken farm. (Reporting by Tom Polansek; Editing by Dan Grebler)
