TREASURIES-U.S. 10-year yield falls to lowest since June

NEW YORK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - The yield on benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury notes early on Friday broke a chart resistance level it had recently been testing, hitting its lowest level since June 27, prompted by doubts about fiscal stimulus from Washington.

At 9:22 a.m. (1322 GMT), the 10-year Treasury yield was down 2 basis points at 2.176 percent after piercing below what had been its resistance at 2.182 percent, according to Reuters data. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
