Salesforce quarterly revenue jumps 25.8 pct

Aug 22 (Reuters) - Salesforce.com Inc reported a 25.8 percent rise in quarterly revenue, helped by strong demand for its cloud-based sales and marketing software.

However, the company's net income fell to $17.7 million, or 2 cents per share, in the second quarter ended July 31 from $229.6 million, or 33 cents per share, a year earlier.
