Stock futures fall after North Korea hydrogen bomb test

NEW YORK, Sept 3 (Reuters) - U.S. equity index futures fell at the open on Sunday after North Korea said it conducted a hydrogen bomb test.

S&P 500 e-mini futures were down 0.5 percent, shortly after electronic trading resumed on Sunday evening.

North Korea on Sunday conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test, which it said was of an advanced hydrogen bomb for a long-range missile, in a dramatic escalation of the regime's stand-off with the United States and its allies. (Reporting by Michael Flaherty; Editing by Andrew Hay)
