Russia c.bank head says to discuss 25 or 50 bps rate cut in Sept: Bloomberg

MOSCOW, Sept 7 (Reuters) - The Russian central bank will consider cutting its key rate by 25 or by 50 basis points at its next board meeting, Bloomberg TV quoted the bank's governor, Elvira Nabiullina, as saying on Thursday.

The central bank is widely expected to trim its key interest rate for the fourth time this year at its next rate-setting meeting on Sept. 15 after keeping it on hold at 9 percent in late July. (Reporting by Maria Kiselyova; Writing by Andrey Ostroukh; Editing by Christian Lowe)
