Homebuilder Lennar's Q3 profit rises 5.6 pct

Oct 3 (Reuters) - U.S. homebuilder Lennar Corp reported a 5.6 percent rise in quarterly profit on Tuesday, driven by an increase in home sales and higher prices.

Net income attributable to Lennar shareholders rose to $249.2 million, or $1.06 per share, in the third quarter ended Aug. 31, from $235.8 million, or $1.01 per share, a year earlier.
