Oil-Dri posts 4Q profit

CHICAGO (AP) _ Oil-Dri Corp. of America (ODC) on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $1.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had profit of 18 cents.

The maker of products for soil in the agriculture, horticulture and sports sectors posted revenue of $65.8 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $10.8 million, or $1.47 per share. Revenue was nearly unchanged at $262.3 million.

Oil-Dri shares have climbed 32 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $50.31, an increase of 49 percent in the last 12 months.
