TABLE-Germany raises 2017 growth forecast to 2 pct

BERLIN, Oct 11 (Reuters) - The German government has raised its economic growth forecast for this year to 2 percent from 1.5 percent previously, the Economy Ministry said on Wednesday. It also expects Europe's biggest economy to grow by 1.9 percent next year, up from its previous forecast of 1.6 percent.
