Fuzic Announces Corporate Rebranding, Changes Name to Vibenomics

Company to focus on helping location-based businesses curate a vibe that drives their economics

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Scott McCorkle, Executive Chairman for Fuzic, announced today that effective immediately, Fuzic is changing its name to Vibenomics.

Announced during his presentation at the Rise of the Rest pitch competition, McCorkle explained the company’s decision to rebrand was two-fold: avoid potential trademark issues and better reflect the company’s full potential as a marketing software platform.

“Our marketing software has capabilities far exceeding the distribution of music,” McCorkle said. “We enable location-based businesses to create and control a vibe with custom audio marketing that will drive the economics of the business, and we now have a name that speaks to that mission.”

This rebrand follows the company’s recent announcement of incentives from the City of Fishers and the State of Indiana, which provide conditional tax credits for hiring up to 255 new jobs by 2020 and expand into a new 11,736-square-foot office in the Braden Building in Fishers’ Nickel Plate District.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for us as a company. We set out to provide an agile software solution for playing music and messaging, and we’ve quickly developed into much more,” said Vibenomics CEO Brent Oakley. “We recognize that every business has a unique vibe, and we’re here to help them curate, control, and capitalize on the customer engagement they create in their space.”

Vibenomics currently operates in a variety of industries including doctor offices, restaurants, retail stores and family fun centers, offering businesses the opportunity to control their vibe through fully-licensed music and on-demand, professional voice talent. Future plans include the introduction of an advertising network and the integration of point-of-sale systems.
