The Aligned Awards recognize the best co-branded digital marketing campaigns that connect and align a national brand with its local retailers. This year, the Aligned Awards expanded into three new digital marketing categories: Best Overall Campaign, Best Product Launch Campaign, and Best Inspirational Campaign. Fifteen brand campaign finalists were selected based on their originality, creativity, innovation, and local consumer impact. This year’s Aligned Awards winners are:
Best Overall Campaign: GE Appliances
The Best Overall Campaign Award recognizes the campaign with the most impressive local retail enablement strategy and overall results including high retailer and consumer engagement. In its "July Fourth Sales Event," GE Appliances matched the contributed funds of retailers who promoted locally targeted ads (that were also co-op reimbursable!) through Promoboxx Local Ads to drive in store sales. Key campaign results included: 1M+ consumer views; 35,000+ local consumer interactions, including comments, likes and clicks; and 17,000+ landing page visits with 1,800 clicks on the call to action for in-store directions to the retailer. The campaign resulted in a 3% year-over-year lift in unit volume for retailers that implemented Promoboxx Local Ads.
Best Product Launch Campaign: The North Face
The Best Product Launch Award recognizes the most impactful launch of a product through the Promoboxx platform. To promote in-store awareness and sales of the Apex Flex GTX jacket, The North Face offered paid advertising dollars to select local retailers. These advertising dollars were spent on geo-targeted, co-branded, high quality local advertisements. Key campaign results included: 7,000,000+ views of the ad by outdoor enthusiasts across North America.
Best Inspirational Campaign: Salomon
The Best Inspirational Campaign Award recognizes the brand campaign that provides their retail partners with outstanding inspirational content outside of standard product promotions. As part of its “Gear & Hydration: Featuring Kílian Jornet” campaign, Salomon provided retailers with lifestyle content inspired by Kílian Jornet, who won the Hardrock 100 race after dislocating his shoulder just 40 miles into the 100.5 mile race. The campaign, which was created an hour after Kílian crossed the finish line, showcased content urging customers to go in-store to purchase the Salomon Hydration pack, which functioned as an emergency arm sling to get Jornet across the finish line.
