CANADA STOCKS-TSX falls shortly after open as banks, resources drag

TORONTO, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell in early trading on Friday as bank and resource stocks pulled the market lower.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index fell 43.23 points, or 0.27 percent, to 15,971.76 shortly after the open.

All but three of the index's 10 main groups retreated. (Reporting by Solarina Ho)
