PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. (AP) _ Mistras Group Inc. (MG) on Monday reported a loss of $7 million in its third quarter.
The Princeton Junction, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 25 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, came to 13 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 15 cents per share.
The engineering services company posted revenue of $179.6 million in the period.
Mistras shares have dropped 17 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $21.40, an increase of almost 4 percent in the last 12 months.
