Alexander & Baldwin posts 3Q profit

HONOLULU (AP) _ Alexander & Baldwin (ALEX) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $6.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Honolulu-based company said it had profit of 13 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, came to 21 cents per share.

The real estate company posted revenue of $111.5 million in the period.

Alexander & Baldwin shares have increased roughly 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $45.19, a rise of slightly more than 9 percent in the last 12 months.
