LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) _ CPI Card Group Inc. (PMTS) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $735,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Littleton, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, came to 2 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 4 cents per share.
The payment cards company posted revenue of $68 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $75.5 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $1.04. A year ago, they were trading at $4.70.
