Lattice reports 3Q loss

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (LSCC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $43.1 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Portland, Oregon-based company said it had a loss of 35 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 4 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 1 cent per share.

The chipmaker posted revenue of $92 million in the period, which met Street forecasts.

For the current quarter ending in December, Lattice said it expects revenue in the range of $92 million to $97 million.

Lattice shares have decreased 18 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $6.01, a decrease of 24 percent in the last 12 months.
