Bristow reports 2Q loss

HOUSTON (AP) _ Bristow Group Inc. (BRS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $31 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 88 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 33 cents per share.

The helicopter services company that caters to the offshore energy industry posted revenue of $373.7 million in the period.

Bristow shares have decreased 54 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $9.40, a fall of 20 percent in the last 12 months.
