VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) _ Papa Murphy's Holdings Inc. (FRSH) on Wednesday reported a loss of $1.9 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, Washington-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 7 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.
The pizza chain posted revenue of $26.8 million in the period.
Papa Murphy's shares have risen 31 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $5.52, a climb of 41 percent in the last 12 months.
