CHICAGO (AP) _ United States Cellular Corp. (USM) on Wednesday reported a third-quarter loss of $299 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had a loss of $3.51. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 11 cents per share.
The wireless telecommunications service provider posted revenue of $963 million in the period.
U.S. Cellular expects full-year revenue in the range of $3.85 billion to $3.95 billion.
U.S. Cellular shares have declined 20 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased slightly more than 1 percent in the last 12 months.
