NAFTA negotiators say made some progress, work continues

MEXICO CITY, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Negotiators trying to update the North American Free Trade Agreement made some progress in the fifth round of talks in Mexico City and will try to wrap up a deal as soon as possible, said a final statement issued on Tuesday.

Officials had earlier said there were still significant differences to be resolved. Mexico and Canada oppose several hardline U.S. proposals unveiled at the fourth round last month. (Reporting by David Ljunggren; Editing by James Dalgleish)
