LONDON, Nov. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Net2Edge, the leading network access company launches Liberator™ 305-LTE, the world's first 1G Network Interface Device (NID) that delivers Carrier Ethernet over fibre and 4G/LTE.
Net2Edge, a MEF member, was one of the 11 Proof of Concept (PoC) companies to be selected to participate in an interactive Proof of Concept Showcase earlier this month at MEF17, where it demonstrated LTE providing a back-up in the event of fibre failure.
Other applications provided by the Liberator 305-LTE include:
- Dynamic bandwidth allocation providing supplementary bandwidth
- Rapid path to revenue since service is not dependent on the delivery of fibre
- Separation of data and management traffic
"We are very excited by the launch of the Liberator 305-LTE and the live demonstration of its capabilities at MEF17," said Adam Turner, Director of Marketing, Net2Edge.
"We are already making a real difference to helping solve, what is today, the biggest network operator conundrum – retiring legacy networks smoothly and effectively without turning customers away," added Kevin Martin, CEO, Net2Edge.
Net2Edge™, a Communications Systems Inc. company (NASDAQ: JCS), has been delivering innovative, market-leading telecoms products since 1988. Our customers include some of the biggest names in telecoms, government, defence, security services, transportation, utilities and enterprise.
We develop Innovative Access Evolution products that allow carriers, service providers and private network operators to accelerate their network transformation without losing the margin rich services used by their longstanding customers.
By deploying Net2Edge Liberator™ products at the customer's premise, carriers, service providers and private network operators can support the customer's legacy applications across their Ethernet network and thus switch-off their expensive legacy network equipment.
