Portfolio Addition Strengthens Company’s Position in Corrections Food Service
ROSEVILLE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Summit Food Service, one of the country’s leading providers of foodservice to correctional facilities, has added CBM Managed Services to its portfolio of companies, it was announced today. The addition of CBM, based in Sioux Falls, SD, strengthens Summit’s position within the correctional market and provides new opportunities for growth.
“We are aligned in many ways with CBM in our business practices. We know and respect the resources they bring to every account and expect the merger of the companies to strengthen our customer partnerships. Adding them to the Summit family makes sense for us and for the industry we serve,” said Tom Cusimano, CEO of Summit Food Service. “Operating in this market is unique; we are fortunate that our culture and our operations show by example our understanding of the role food plays in the safety of a correctional facility.”
CBM has been providing foodservice, commissary, and vending solutions to county, state, municipal and city correctional facilities for more than 25 years. The company operates with a strong commitment to serving its clients by providing quality food, with personalized service, through a highly motivated team of professionals. They are focused on using fresh, high-quality foods and tested recipes within their foodservice programs. CBM will be aligned with Summit to enhance service offerings and programs and the company will continue to be led by current President & CEO, Marlin Sejnoha.
“We operate in this space as trusted, relationship-driven partners,” said Sejnoha. “We are aligned with Summit’s values, and joining the family allows us to further strengthen our commitment to this niche industry while offering our employees increased opportunities.”
