ATHENS, Greece (AP) _ Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. (TNP) on Thursday reported a loss of $3.4 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Athens, Greece-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 9 cents per share.
The oil and gas shipping company posted revenue of $124.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $96.9 million, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $101.6 million.
The company's shares closed at $4.14. A year ago, they were trading at $4.37.
