Francesca's Holdings misses Street 3Q forecasts

HOUSTON (AP) _ Francesca's Holdings Corp. (FRAN) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $239,000.

The Houston-based company said it had net income of 1 cent per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.

The clothing retailer posted revenue of $105.8 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $106.8 million.

For the current quarter ending in January, Francesca's Holdings said it expects revenue in the range of $145 million to $150 million.

The company expects full-year earnings to be 67 cents to 72 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $478 million to $483 million.

Francesca's Holdings shares have declined 57 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 50 percent in the last 12 months.
