If you take just a few hours every weekend to grocery shop and meal prep for the week, you can save a ton of money — and cut back on calories, too.

Don't know what to cook? Try these quick and easy one-tray pasta bake recipes, provided by Tasty, that require only a few ingredients and supplies.

1. One-tray caprese pasta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 cups, cooked al dente
  • ¾ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, optional

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
  2. Take two sheets of aluminum foil (about 12x12-inch, 30x30 cm) and stack them on top of each other.
  3. Fold one side of the foil about ⅓ of the way across sheet and repeat for opposite side.
  4. Pinch the corner to form a point and then flatten it to the short side of the foil, forming a raised corner. Repeat for all four sides, and make four of these.
  5. Add all of the ingredients to one of the foil boats, then stir.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Eat or pack into tupperware and refrigerate 3-5 days.

2. One-tray alfredo pasta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 cups, cooked al dente
  • ½ cup carrot, sliced
  • ½ cup broccoli
  • ¾ cup alfredo sauce, from the jar is fine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
  2. Take two sheets of aluminum foil (about 12x12-inch, 30x30 cm) and stack them on top of each other.
  3. Fold one side of the foil about ⅓ of the way across sheet and repeat for opposite side.
  4. Pinch the corner to form a point and then flatten it to the short side of the foil, forming a raised corner. Repeat for all four sides, and make four of these.
  5. Add all of the ingredients to one of the foil boats, then stir.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • parmesan cheese, optional

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
  2. Take two sheets of aluminum foil (about 12x12-inch, 30x30 cm) and stack them on top of each other.
