(Adds interest rate, central bank statement)
TUNIS, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Tunisia's annual inflation rate rose to 6.3 percent in November from 5.8 percent in October, central bank data showed on Thursday.
The food price index was 10.2 percent in November versus 8.4 percent in October, the data showed.
The central bank kept the main interest rate at 5 percent, according to its website. The statement said there was a need to stop inflationary pressures gaining further pace.
It raised the minimum savings rate by 100 basis points to 5 percent effective January, it said.
The central bank raised its key interest rate from 4.75 percent to 5.00 percent in May, the second of two hikes that month as it tried to halt a slide in the dinar currency, which has hit historic lows against the euro and the dollar.
