China FX regulator: 2017 a turning point as capital flows stabilise

BEIJING, Jan 18 (Reuters) - China's cross-border capital flows reached a turning point last year as they became basically balanced compared to previous net outflows, the foreign exchange regulator said on Thursday.

Cross-border capital flows will remain largely steady in 2018 as the impact from the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy normalisation on capital flows in China is weakening, Wang Chunying, spokeswomen for the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, told reporters.
