Philippines says launches 10-year global bonds

MANILA, Jan 18 (Reuters) - The Philippines on Thursday launched a 10-year US dollar denominated global bond issue, the Bureau of Treasury said in a notice on its website.

The Bureau did not say how much it planned to offer but National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said in September the government was looking to raise $1 billion from the sale of sovereign global bonds to help fund an increase in this year's spending plan.
